MeristematicThe main function of meristematic tissue is mitosis. It is in apical meristem.
CollenchymaCollenchyma cells have thick walls that are especially thick at their corners. These cells provide mechanical support for the plant.

ParenchymaThey large, thin-walled, and usually have a large central vacuole.
XylemXylem conducts water and dissolved minerals from the roots to all the other parts of the plant.

SclerenchymaThe walls of these cells are very thick and the cell dies after its is fully formed.
PhloemThe main components of phloem are sieve elements and companion cells.

Level 8 Elaborate: Where are the stomata in Mono & Di Cot leaves?
Collect 2-6 different monocot and dicot leaves and do the lab that the instructor is showing you in the above VDO entitled "Plant tissues in the leaf". Take pictures of the impressions you make with tape by putting them under the microscopes and then upload them to Google classroom. In addition, the instructor in the VDO asked you to post three answers to the questions he posed to us, please write your responses in the public response section in Google classroom.
